Edgy Spaces Training
Professional Mastery CERTIFICATION
Facilitate what wants to happen in any situation.
Founder’s Cohort Starts June 18, 2026
We don’t need safe or brave spaces. We need alive, dynamic spaces that bring
us into new territory together.
Edgy Spaces Training (EST) is a one-of-a-kind professional training for those who want to lead, facilitate, and build at the alive edges of human capacity.
This is for you if…
- You want rigorous, nuanced training and are willing to be coached with precision (like working with an Olympic trainer).
- You have some kind of experience working with groups and want bigger, paradigm-shifting impact.
- You want to work with intensity, rewiring your nervous system for more capacity.
- You are willing to get triggered, work through it with others, and see what is on the other side.
- You want to help others get what they deeply desire, even if their worldview is different than yours.
- You are kind and ready to stop being polite / politically correct in the service of aliveness.
- You are excited about stepping out of binary left vs. right, men vs. women, win/lose dynamics.
- You embrace nonphysical, nonordinary skills and are “woo woo” willing.
- You are open to not knowing, and ready to be in unfolding new territory.
Edgy spaces bring us somewhere new.
Edgy Spaces are spontaneous or intentional spaces where planned structures, social norms, or physical reality are inadequate to navigate what wants to happen. They unlock new insight, aliveness, and creative fuel for the future.
NonOrdinary Spaces
Transformational Spaces
Conflict Spaces
Emergent Spaces
Eros-Infused Spaces
Edgy spaces are happening whether we want them to or not.
Why Edgy Spaces? Why now?
It’s happening in our social feeds, in our like-minded communities, in our meetings and organizations. At every edge of society – from AI to the environment, politics to UAPs – we are in territory with no map.
The question isn’t whether you’ll encounter them. It’s whether you’ll have the capacity to work with them when they show up.
And when we engage and create edgy spaces with intention, something remarkable happens. We move beyond our limitations, our traumas, our repeating patterns…into aliveness, creativity, and experiencing what we deeply desire.
Each edgy space is an opportunity for aliveness to bring us someplace we haven’t experienced before, to something greater than we can currently imagine.
Safe and brave spaces, as well-intentioned as they are, have created an expectation of calm, peace, and coherence. And that expectation has a cost. Embedded in the idea of safety is a power dynamic: someone else is responsible for how you feel. Someone else has to manage their edges so you don’t have to meet yours. But there is no aliveness in that, no movement and no joy of being alive.
What we actually need is to rewire our nervous systems for intensity, not away from it. From vulnerability to revelation. Sharing ourselves not because it’s safe, but because it’s the only way to create the world we long for. Using what shows up as fuel for what wants to emerge.
Life wants more for us than neutral.
The most powerful way to have an impact is to understand what other people want and help them get it in alive, aligned ways.
What Makes This Training Different
It’s common for facilitation and leadership trainings to teach techniques, frameworks, and formats that focus on getting specific results. While valuable, this moment in human development requires something different. This training is built on four distinctions that expand what’s possible:
Without being taught how to get what we desire, our strategies create tangles or force painful tradeoffs. When we help each other untangle and experience what we most deeply desire, we align with life. When we align with life, we automatically align with each other.
2. You are never separate from what you’re facilitating.
Edgy spaces require being able to hold multiple levels of awareness at the same time…yourself, the field, others, dynamics, and what wants to happen. It requires permeable presence that is in deep relationship… impacting and being impacted.
3. States of consciousness are not a spiritual extra.
The states available to us determine what we can perceive, access, and experience. They determine what is possible. They are the foundation of how we impact and experience reality. As an Edgy Spaces facilitator, you are both the tuning fork and the guide, expanding the states available to everyone else.
4. Follow where intuition meets improvisation.
At the edges, you need the capacity to create in real time in new territory. It requires drawing from your experience while following what wants to happen. Intuition and improvisation become a single fluid movement, following aliveness and using structure as the banks to the river.
The APPROACH
The core foundations
of everything.
Through decades of direct experience, interdisciplinary research, and working with thousands of people, Founder Trish Blain kept finding the same four irreducible foundations at the core of our human experience.
Each foundation has a set of skills that when developed are key to:
- Getting what you most deeply desire.
- Untangling strategies and understanding human behavior.
- Developing consciousness agility and state awareness.
- Accessing nonordinary and ecstatic experiences.
- Aligning with life and each other.
The Four Forces

Semester One: The Forces
We will focus on the Four Forces as the key to understanding how human desires, behaviors (strategies), states of consciousness, and the foundations of reality are related. You will:
- Learn how to navigate, untangle, and access each layer.
- Understand your own four forces map and where you can expand your capacity.
- Identify which force(s) an individual or group is dominant or weak in.
- Work with dominant strategies with precision to shift patterns, paradigms, and states of consciousness.

Semester Two: The EdgesWork
We move into EdgesWork, the craft of facilitating what wants to happen in real time; the foundation of all edgy spaces. Drawing inspiration from Arnold Mindell’s Processwork, we combine the Four Forces with the skill of following where life leads us. We learn to read fields, work with power and intensity, and develop the consciousness agility to hold multiple layers at once. We explore where improvisation meets intuition, and where structure becomes the banks of the river for emergence.
Module 6

Semester Three: The Edgy Spaces
We explore a range of edgy spaces as distinct containers you can craft and hold. Each has its own purpose, dynamics, and required skill set. Recognize the kind of space a person, group, or moment is asking for, and shape the container accordingly. Work skillfully with what arises in each, including “the trigger spiral,” conflict, stuck energy, group roles, collective trauma, soul patterns, circuit breakers, and what wants to emerge.
